Africlock Data Backup
Backup data must be sent to Africlock, on a regular basis, preferably once a month after pay slips have been generated. Every time the Africlock programme is closed, a backup programme should open automatically.
If a backup hasn't been sent for 30 days, a warning will appear every time you open the programme as a reminder to send the backup. If a backup hasn't been sent for 90 days in a row, the system will be blocked and no one will be able to work (until a new backup has been sent).
If you do not want to send a backup, and prefer to keep a backup of your data somewhere save, a signed passcode request must be emailed to us, after which a year code will be supplied. With this, you take full responsibility of your backup data. If you lose your data and your computer crashed, there will be extra fees payable.
Choose this option if you want to create a backup on a USB or hard drive. It is still important to send it to us where it will be stored in a save space. If you create the backup on the same computer, a warning message will appear. The backup will still be created, but if the computer is stolen or crashes, the backup on the computer will be of no use.
This is the prescribed choice when sending backups. The email address will already be added. Make sure that this is your email address and NOT ours). A receipt acknowledgement email will be sent to this email address. Only after you've received this email, you can rest assured that we have received the backup and that it is stored on our server.
If a backup must be restored, use this option. VERY IMPORTANT: any data on the Africlock programme will be overwritten. Please do not just click on buttons if you do not understand what is happening.
